Connection Café

Each Sunday morning finds steam rising from warm and delicious food on the service counter at the Connection Café. This is not just a place to get a good breakfast before the Sunday morning worship time but a great place to bring your Bible and Life Journal and share what God’s been showing you from his Word with others. Many of our members have risen to the challenge of reading through the entire Bible each year and then sharing what they’re learning and recording with others. One of the tools we’re using to accomplish this is the Life Journal. This is an excellent tool for guiding in a systematic reading program and assisting you in recording your thoughts and storing your reflections to share with others. Let me encourage you to come for a cup of “joe” and share what you “know” at the Connection Café. Hours 9:00 to 9:45 every Sunday morning.

Life Journals

One of the most efficient tools that we’ve discovered to assist us in our spiritual growth has been the “Life Journals”. Published by New Hope church in Hawaii these innovative books guide people through a one year reading program in the Bible. But there are several other aspects to the “life journal”.  Not only are you set on a chronological tour of the scriptures but you are taught how to arrange your personal observations, applications and prayers into a diary. By doing this you discover spiritual principles directly from your own individual Bible reading.  Having read the scriptures through many times throughout the years I’ve personally found this one of the best systems for daily Bible reading and life application.  Another exciting aspect of this program is that people bring their life journals to our cafés, small groups and personal mentoring times and share the insights that they’re receiving from God’s Word with one another.
