Connecting to Destiny….How Our Ministry Model Works Come > Connect > Grow > Go
Come
We are building an atmosphere into which people are invited to join us in experiencing the presence of God. This presence is transformational. Built around this environment are a series of programs that will assist them in understanding and discovering more about how they can know God personally. These include sermons that relate to everyday living, times of prayer and worship where they can encounter the reality of God, and members of our church that will take time with them personally, one on one, to explain what this experience is all about.

Connect to Others
We are creating environments where people can relax and get to know others in God’s family. We believe that the Kingdom of God is a wonderful world built on relationships. It all starts with a relationship with God but that relationship often starts through coming to know God through others. Once that’s happened it continues as people relate to each other in loving and honest ways. Being part of God’s family is key to knowing God and The Connection has many venues, like Connect Groups, Lunch Bunch, Connect Café, and special events where people grow in their love for God by experiencing His love for them as it is expressed through other members of God’s family.

Grow in Christ
Scripture clearly states that the way we grow and mature in our faith is through being equipped by the 5 fold ministries that are part of the body of Christ. Teaching, preaching, and other forms of instruction are part of our ministries that spur us on to know God and become like Him in our character. The Holy Spirit works with us through the unique gifts that he has put in the church to build us up in our faith and lead us on to maturity.

Go and Serve
Each follower of Christ is called to bring God’s love to others around him. But it doesn’t stop there. The command to make disciples was the last command of Christ. Once we’ve become His followers we need to follow his example to lead others to God and let them see our lives as examples of God’s love. Sharing God’s message can be expressed not only through our verbal witnessing and power gifts, but also as we serve others in our community and around the world through acts of mercy and kindness.
